Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Law, Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, Journalism, Anthropology a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in program or operations management in a high-tech environment.
- Experience in intelligence, threat management, risk or incident management or a related field in the online content risk space.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in setting up and managing cross-functional teams with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Internet technologies and related policy and regulatory environments.
- Understanding of international and geopolitical events.
- Understanding of analytical, data-driven approach to answering complex questions.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems and carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision, thrive in ambiguity and can adapt and lead through a dynamic environment.
- Excellent writing and drafting skills

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. Additional Information:
(Colorado only*) Minimum full-time salary range between $143,000 - $154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. *Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, analyze, conceptualize and report on strategic content risks and threats to trust in Google and its users.
- Coordinate and mobilize mitigations teams for persistent user risks.
- Scope and drive cross-organizational projects, programs and improvement efforts to solve strategic challenges impacting T&S.
- Manage Cross-functional relationships and workstreams across Trust & Safety, Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP), Legal and Comms teams to execute projects that improve operational efficiency and efficacy.
- Synthesize multidimensional information and data sources clearly and concisely for different audiences, including executives.
