About the Organization

Perinatal Support Washington (PS-WA) is a statewide non-profit committed to shining a light on perinatal mental health to support all families and communities. Our vision: All parents receive appropriate, timely, and culturally relevant mental health care during the perinatal period.

Our core programs include a Warm Line that provides families experiencing perinatal mental health complications peer or professional support, free and low-cost new parent support groups, training and consultation for health care providers, and education and advocacy about the #1 complication of childbirth!

Perinatal Support Washington is a very parent-friendly workplace with a flexible work schedule.

About the Position

The Community Outreach Program Manager (PM) is a part time position- 20 hours per week and reports to the Clinical Director. The PM will oversee all aspects of a new outreach and training program funded through a new grant. The PM will oversee 2 programs- a direct service program that provides clinical case management and support for expecting and new parents at risk for or experiencing perinatal mental health complications (pregnancy or postpartum depression, anxiety, trauma), and a new perinatal mental health training program for providers in King Co with a specific goal of increasing access to perinatal mental health training for providers of color and providers serving families with Medicaid as their primary insurance. The grant is 16 months (Dec 2021), with the possibility of extension to 3 years. This position requires supervision of direct service providers, program management skills, as well as excellent outreach and relationship building skills with external partners.

PS-WA is a small and collaborative team that is currently in a period of growth and change. An ideal candidate will be excited about joining a team that is changing quickly and be passionate about creating and providing client focused services. Additionally, as this is a new program, the PM will have the opportunity to use their creativity, program design, and implementation skills to address systemic barriers families experience. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with direction.

PS-WA has a small administrative office in North Seattle where we meet weekly for team meetings. At this time, all work is remote. As recommendations for COVID-19 change over time, a combination of remote and office based work will be required. This position may be open to candidates outside of King Co, however this is a King County based grant that requires considerable community engagement as well as several in-person events where attendance will be required.
