Salary: $22.00 TO $24.00 / hour DOE
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Development Events & Operations, this position will be responsible for coordinating and assisting in the execution of Development events, special projects and initiatives while supporting the mission and goals of Museum of the Bible (MOTB). This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively with staff, vendors, clients and donors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Development Events & Operations, this position will be responsible for coordinating and assisting in the execution of Development events, special projects and initiatives while supporting the mission and goals of Museum of the Bible (MOTB). This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and work collaboratively with staff, vendors, clients and donors.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accuracy of donor records in Salesforce, including but not limited to, event attendance, record of communication, background information, gifts, etc.
- Manage project timelines under the direction of direct supervisor
- Coordinate logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, hotel, and transportation
- Manage various Development inboxes
- Develop working relationships with vendors, contractors, staff and all departments at MOTB
- Work with MOTB Marketing/Creative teams to produce websites, invitations, logos and other printed materials
- Participate in post-event evaluations to assess the success of events and identify areas for improvement
- Operation coordination including management of DC Development inventory, department supplies, shipping and receiving
- Other Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- 2 + years of experience in event planning, preferably in a non-profit setting

- Ability to maintain a working relationship with vendors and venues
- Understands the complex needs of different events and diverse donors
- Ability to provide quality customer service to donors
- Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Cvent, Social Tables, Wrike
- Ease in learning software applications
Abilities / Attributes
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Ability to repeat the same movements for long periods of time
- Ability to travel periodically – up to 10 days a month, a week at a time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Required to work regular business hours in person
- Periodic need to work outside business hours when onsite for event
- Champion the Museum of the Bible’s mission to invite all people to engage with the transformative power of the Bible
- As required, inclusion in official or incidental photographs and videos for MOTB and/or guests.
