Job Description

In this position, you will manage the candidate's time and ensure an organized and efficient schedule. You will coordinates the candidate's daily activities, meetings, events, and travel arrangements. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced campaign environment.

Here is what you get to do:

  • Schedule Management
  • Coordinate and manage the candidate's daily schedule, including meetings, events, interviews, and campaign activities.
  • Work closely with the candidate, campaign manager, and campaign leadership to prioritize and plan the schedule.
  • Travel Coordination
  • Arrange and coordinate all aspects of the candidate's travel, including flights, accommodations, ground transportation, and other logistics.
  • Anticipate potential scheduling conflicts and proactively find solutions to ensure a smooth travel experience.
  • Communication
  • Serve as a liaison between the candidate and external parties, such as donors, supporters, media representatives, and campaign staff.
  • Manage incoming requests for the candidate's time, ensuring a balance between campaign priorities and external commitments.
  • Event Planning
  • Collaborate with the campaign events team to plan and execute campaign events, rallies, town halls, and fundraisers.
  • Ensure the candidate is well-prepared for each event, with all necessary briefing materials and talking points.
  • Research and Briefings
  • Research individuals and organizations involved in scheduled events to provide the candidate with relevant background information.
  • Prepare and/or review detailed daily briefings for the candidate, highlighting key talking points and essential details for each engagement.
  • Record Keeping
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date schedule, tracking changes and adjustments as needed.
  • Keep detailed records of past events, meetings, and travel arrangements for reference and analysis.
  • Flexibility
  • Adapt quickly to changes in the campaign schedule and address unexpected challenges.
  • Be available for evening and weekend work, especially during critical campaign phases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in scheduling, event planning, or campaign operations is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with political campaigns and a keen understanding of the U.S. political landscape.
  • Detailed-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency using Excel/Google Sheets/Spreadsheet software
