Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000

Location: Flexible, Remote, Kansas

Reports to: Managing Director

As we continue to expand our services and client base, we are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Special Projects Manager with a specialized focus on fundraising, research, and project management in the political space.


The Special Projects Manager will:


  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential donors, fundraising opportunities, and grant sources aligned with the political candidate's platform and campaign priorities.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive fundraising strategies, including call time programs, direct mail campaigns, solicitation efforts, and fundraising events, and provide compliance guidance and best practices for down ballot campaigns
  • Manage donor databases and track fundraising activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of donor interactions and contributions.
  • Collaborate with the campaign and communications team to create compelling fundraising materials, including solicitation letters, fundraising emails, and donor proposals.
  • Provide research support to inform campaign strategy and messaging, including analysis of voter demographics, polling data, and competitive intelligence.
  • Compile, analyze, and synthesize legislative information and historical data into comprehensive research books to aid policymakers and stakeholders in understanding complex legislative issues and making informed decisions.
  • Promote a healthy work environment in a positive and collaborative manner, and will participate in a minimum of two professional development opportunities annually.


Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience in political fundraising, political research campaign finance, or related field, with a proven track record of successful fundraising campaigns and donor relations.
  • Strong background in project management with preferred experience using Asana or other project management software.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to identify and qualify prospective donors, fundraising opportunities, and grant sources within the political landscape.
  • Experience with donor database management and fundraising software (e.g., NGP VAN, ActBlue) preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals and articulate the candidate's platform to donors.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced campaign environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive and results-driven approach to achieving fundraising goals and campaign success.
  • Passion for politics and commitment to advancing the candidate's electoral goals through effective fundraising strategies.

  • Vacation: base rate of 3 weeks (120 hours) annually. An additional week (40 hours) is added on 2nd and 3rd anniversaries for a max of 5 weeks (200 hours).
  • Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel.
