Special Assistant to the President

APP is seeking a special assistant to the president who will manage all aspects of his calendar, travel, and communication as well as assist with his other duties as needed. The special assistant must thrive by bringing order within a fast-paced, highly changeable and demanding working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the president to support all aspects of his daily work routine.
  • Manage the president’s calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and speaking engagements.
  • Manage the president’s travel arrangements.
  • Assist the president in developing presentations and related materials.
  • Other duties related to supporting the president’s role.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to represent the president in response to phone calls, emails, other written correspondence, and in senior staff communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to multi-task under pressure.
  • High degree of competency in the use of computer applications and the ability to learn new applications as needed (e.g. Microsoft suite, Google Drive, etc.).
  • High degree of discretion, judgment, and confidentiality.
