The Corporate Communications Manager, part of the Corporate and Public Policy Communications team, develops, manages and supports communications initiatives that influence the thinking and behavior of key audiences – to advance understanding and influence of, commitment to, confidence in and appreciation for Ford, especially its ambitious Ford+ plan for growth and value creation.
You must plan and act strategically, optimistically and ambitiously while working closely with colleagues across Communication and Ford on a range of topics, variously relying on the Communications Functional Competencies…

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications, journalism, public affairs, or a related field.
- 5 or more years of achievement in using strong, strategic written and verbal communication and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- In-house and/or agency experience representing multidimensional public companies and/or government organizations.
- Illustrated effectiveness working with, influencing and learning from people with diverse backgrounds, in different disciplines and at multiple organizational levels.
- Familiarity influencing through social media.

Major responsibilities on behalf of the C&PPC team include involvement in overlapping areas, such as:
- Purposeful use of media and industry analyst relations, social media, and other nontraditional communications channels, including as an on-point company spokesperson
- Company strategic ambitions, investment thesis, approaches and accomplishments – collectively and in specific business groups: Ford Blue, Ford Model e and Ford Pro
- Accountability for sustaining and fulfilling a strategic storytelling calendar
- Thought leadership in and competitive significance from, e.g., customer experiences, new technologies (electric vehicles, digital platforms, software), operational excellence (costs, quality), etc.
- Legal, cybersecurity and other matters
- Senior leadership changes
- Efficient use of agency personnel, where appropriate
