Paid Communications Intern

COMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIP - SUMMER 2024 -

The Democratic Staff of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee seeks applications for a paid in-person communications internship for Summer 2024. Responsibilities include assisting with daily press clips, compiling news research, creating digital/social media content, drafting media advisories and press releases, and helping maintain press contact lists.

This position requires attention to detail, creativity, strong writing ability and grammar skills, and a passion for political communications and the environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and/or Adobe suites, as well as familiarity with social media, is preferred.
