Job Description
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS seeks an organized, dynamic self-starter to join our development team to support, administer and help expand an exciting, fast-growing corporate and team fundraising program. This person will assist in building our corporate partnership program and bespoke, customized partner events. They will also oversee the Broadway Run (our annual 5K fundraiser) and Broadway Cares’ NYC Marathon fundraising team. This candidate should be detail-oriented, creative and adept at thinking outside the box and solving puzzles. This person will grow with the team and help us realize the full potential of the corporate partnership program. The partnership coordinator will report to the corporate partnerships officer and work closely with members of the development and communications teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with corporate partnership officer to develop, strategize and implement growth of corporate partnership program
- Take meeting notes and draft follow-up communications
- Craft partnership proposals, presentation decks and letters of agreement
- Manage and maintain tools and resources needed for partnerships, including presentation decks, one sheets and video links
- Attend corporate partnership committee meetings and take minutes, research prospective partners and assist in strategizing growth
- Coordinate and cultivate corporate volunteer participation in red bucket fundraising, Broadway Run and other team volunteer projects
- Perform other relevant duties as needed to support corporate partnership goals
- Manage, strategize and grow the Broadway Run and NYC Marathon fundraisers, recruiting teams and individual participants, coaching and supporting their fundraising
- Participate with the entire Broadway Cares staff in large annual and smaller one-time events, and in facilitating audience appeals for two annual six-week fundraising periods, which take place in the evenings and on weekends
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a front-line fundraising or support capacity at a non-profit or arts organization
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think creatively and outside of the box
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including mail merge and Outlook) and Google Drive (including slide presentations, forms, sheets and docs)
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge/NXT, Donor Drive or similar databases a plus
- Comfort with peer-to-peer fundraising, or willingness to learn
- Strong knowledge of and affinity for the theatre and greater entertainment industry
- Understanding of and commitment to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ mission
- Knowledge of running and road races a plus
- Ability to work nights and weekends, as needed
- Personal drive and initiative
- Willingness to be a team player, assisting and supporting as needed
- Affection for dogs

Compensation/benefits
- Salary: $55,000-$60,000

Money raised by Broadway Cares funds organizations across the country that provide lifesaving medication, healthy meals, counseling and emergency assistance for those in need and crisis. Broadway Cares is the single largest financial supporter of the Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), helping everyone in entertainment and the performing arts. Broadway Cares also awards annual grants to more than 450 social service organizations responding to the needs of those in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., living with HIV/AIDS, dealing with COVID-19 and facing other debilitating illnesses.
