Duties

Develops and implements plans designed to enhance relationships with USAID stakeholders using the Web, social media, and other channels, including video, to increase effectiveness in communicating program goals, priorities, and area(s) of concern.

Assists the Director and Deputy Director of Public Engagement, AA/LPA and the DAA/LPA with broad strategies and specific outreach plans designed to strengthen the exchange of information between USAID and the targeted audiences.

Develops and implements public engagement plans supporting many "proactive" external affairs activities such as strategic planning; event pitching, and planning. Provide advice, guidance, and support bureaus as they develop and plan engagements.

Recommends approaches, specific topics, or aspects to be emphasized, and key target audiences. Identifies potential risks in stakeholder outreach or event management. Serves as an advisor to senior staff with management on external communications.

Develops and coordinates the Agency's participation in and/or initiation of events, conferences, discussions designed to educate and engage audiences about USAID’s activities and priorities.

Develops complete concept notes, event memos, and fact sheets on own initiative. Prepares talking points, action memos and briefing documents for public engagements.
