Assistant Director of Championships and Alliances, Corporate Relations Job Function:Primary NCAA liaison to assigned NCAA Corporate Champions and Corporate Partners (CC/P’s), responsible for the daily management and coordination of all activities of designated CC/Ps. Job Responsibilities•Creation, development, approval and implementation of assigned CC/Ps’ annual objectives, strategies, initiatives and tactics for leveraging NCAA partnership. Communicate NCAA objectives, strategies, and tactics to CC/P’s to ensure synergy and compatibility. 

•Manage the CC/P approval process for assigned CC/Ps, including a Corporate Champion level account, including feasibility of promotional concepts, appropriate use of NCAA name and registered trademarks, use of NCAA Championship tickets and hospitality, and approval of CC/P promotional materials. Monitor appropriate CC/P involvement with other NCAA and NCAA/Turner/CBS bundled rights partners (e.g. Turner Sports, CBS Sports, Collegiate Licensing Company, Event 1, etc.). Provide CC/P submissions to appropriate NCAA departments and staff members (e.g. Championships, Membership Services, etc.) for feedback, interpretations and approval when necessary. Confirm that the contractual approval process timeline is adhered to. Provide NCAA feedback and approval to CC/P’s.

•Assist assigned CC/P’s and any related (when applicable) pass-through entities in understanding the uniqueness and needs of all NCAA Championships, NCAA events, host institutions and LOC’s. Develop and present beneficial and relevant championship and event activation opportunities and ideas for assigned CC/P’s for consideration.

•Work closely with appropriate NCAA staff and broadcast partners, Turner, CBS and ESPN, to monitor compliance with CC/P contractual rights and benefits.

•Facilitate regular in-person meetings at the NCAA National Office, CC/P offices and broadcast partners’ offices to ensure all parties are working together to create and implement programming that meets the objectives of the CC/P’s and is mutually beneficial to all parties while enhancing the NCAA mission, brand and championships.

•Work closely with NCAA departments and staff (e.g. Championships, Championships Marketing, Membership Services, Legal, etc.) to educate them about CC/P objectives and programs.

•Establish positive working relationships with CC/P key marketing and promotions contacts nationally, regionally, and locally to facilitate communications. Focus on understanding and meeting the collective and mutual objectives of CC/P’s and related entities (i.e. local marketing groups, suppliers, CC/P internal groups and subsidiaries, etc.), NCAA Championships and LOC’s.

•Represent the Corporate Relationships group by assisting in planning assigned NCAA Championship events as it pertains to NCAA Corporate Champions and Partners. Responsibilities include personal attendance (as necessary) at assigned championships’ site visits and competition dates to maximize opportunities for CC/P activation opportunities/involvement and perform necessary on-site duties related to activation, hospitality, ambush marketing enforcement and championship operations.

•Work with entities responsible for executing ancillary events on behalf of the NCAA to insure CC/P’s have been offered relevant opportunities for involvement and presence at these events (e.g. Final Four Fan Fest, March Madness Music Fest, Tourney Town, Championship Opening Ceremonies, etc.).

•Participate in Corporate Relations strategy sessions; contribute meaningful content and ideas to better position the NCAA and/or add to CC/P value proposition and support the Corporate Relations and Championships leadership as requested.

•Assist the leadership of Corporate Relations on assignments as requested, including, but not limited to annual meetings, familiarization tours, CC/P sweepstakes and any additional CC/P umbrella program initiatives.

•May be responsible for supervising additional position(s) within the corporate relationships staff. Conduct daily and weekly meetings to maintain awareness of priorities and initiatives. Manage and monitor performance of assigned staff.
