Attorney/Legislative Counsel

The organization is seeking entry-level attorneys to serve as Legislative Counsel within its legal services section. This role involves drafting legislation, providing legal counsel to standing committees, and conducting thorough legal and legislative research to support the work of the General Assembly. Candidates should possess excellent communication, drafting, and analytical skills, along with a strong understanding of the legislative process. A law degree from an accredited institution and membership in the organization Bar, or eligibility to take the bar exam, are required. The position offers a starting salary of $82,500 and is located in the General Assembly Building.
