A core objective is recruiting and empowering Precinct Chairs who serve as local leaders and organizers in their communities. Role Description The Ballot Chaser is a full-time remote role responsible for engaging voters and encouraging ballot completion and return in targeted areas. Day-to-day tasks include contacting voters via phone, text, and digital platforms, providing accurate information about voting procedures, and following up to ensure ballots are submitted on time. The role involves coordinating with field teams, tracking outreach activities, and maintaining detailed records in organizational systems. The Ballot Chaser will collaborate with supervisors and peers to refine messaging, adjust outreach strategies, and meet specific voter contact and ballot return goals. This position requires consistent communication, adherence to legal and organizational guidelines, and the ability to work flexible hours based on campaign needs.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal and written communication with diverse voters.
• Experience in grassroots organizing, voter outreach, canvassing, or campaign field work is highly beneficial.
• Comfort with remote work tools, including CRM systems, spreadsheets, texting platforms, and video conferencing software.
• Ability to manage time effectively, meet outreach targets, and follow structured processes with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for election cycles.
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and commitment to non-discriminatory, respectful engagement with all community members.
• Basic understanding of voting procedures and election timelines, or readiness to learn quickly and follow training materials.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary education or relevant campaign experience is a plus.
