Job Description
Description:
The Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL) is a bipartisan coalition of foreign policy experts and young professionals dedicated to revitalizing American leadership through strategic investments in development. We believe that effective foreign aid strengthens national security, prevents pandemics from reaching our shores, and boosts the U.S. economy. We are about to start a national speaking tour to inspire students and the public to support development programs, and we're looking to grow our communications team to support this and other initiatives. Interns may be assigned to one of five divisions:
Social Media
Produce content for and help manage our LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok accounts.
Press
Write press releases and conduct outreach to newspapers, TV, radio, and podcasts.
Email/SMS Campaigns
Draft emails to our network and help manage our contact list.
Website
Help edit our website in Framer.
Design
Design flyers, presentations, and social media graphics using Canva, PowerPoint, and other platforms.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have experience in social media, press, communications, and/or web design and possess strong, clear writing skills. Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of following through on multiple assignments. Under 52 U.S.C. § 30121 and 11 CFR 110.20, foreign nationals without legal authorization are prohibited from volunteering or employment with Political Action Committees (PACs).
This is a fully remote, volunteer position with flexible hours. DMV-based interns may be asked to assist with in-person events such as Hill Days or advocacy meetings on an as-needed basis.
