Communications/Speechwriting
Seeking a strong applicant for a dynamic communications role at an independent federal agency. The role directly supports the agency's top executive with all speechwriting for public speaking and engagements, and serves as the primary communications staffer in the executive's office. This position also works closely with agency career staff focused on agency media relations and communications. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of speechwriting experience supporting principals in a Hill, Executive-branch, or C-Suite office and a general understanding of the transportation industry and transportation safety. Please note that this is a political appointment (Schedule C) position and will require a background check by the White House. The ability to travel semi-frequently, locally and nationally, to staff the executive at speaking engagements will be required. Salary is dependent upon the GS pay scale.
