You’ll work directly with local nonprofits, faith-based groups, and community leaders to advance health education, resource distribution, and outreach initiatives.

If you’re someone who thrives on building relationships, organizing impactful community events, and helping people access the care and support they deserve — this is a great fit for you.

Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement & Partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with CBOs, nonprofit leaders, faith-based organizations, and local influencers.
  • Leverage your existing network within the region to accelerate community engagement and establish immediate trust.
  • Represent Wellness WoRx at community meetings, events, and forums.
  • Support outreach initiatives by connecting community members to available programs and resources.
Networking & Event Coordination
  • Organize and facilitate community events, educational sessions, and resource distribution efforts.
  • Bring together diverse groups to support client projects and outreach campaigns.
  • Serve as the local face of Wellness WoRx at community events and partnership meetings.
Insights Gathering & Client Alignment
  • Capture on-the-ground insights about community needs, barriers, and opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to leadership to ensure strategies reflect real community input.
  • Align community engagement efforts with broader client and project goals.

Qualifications

  • Community Health Worker (CHW) certification required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, or partnerships.
  • Clinical trial experience or familiarity with patient recruitment and awareness efforts is a plus.
  • Established network of relationships with community leaders, organizations, and local influencers in the region, and the ability to leverage those connections immediately.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse community members and stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating events, partnerships, or grassroots initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools.
  • Based in the Alabama region with reliable transportation for local travel.
