The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures advances the understanding, celebration, and preservation of cinema through inclusive and accessible exhibitions, screenings, programs, initiatives, and collections. The Community Relations Manager will build and sustain relationships with community members, officials, and other non-profit organizations. These relationships are critical to fulfilling our mission and the Museum being a place of dialogue and co-creation with community members.
Reporting to the Director of Board and Community Relations, you will develop new processes, establish partnerships, create community engagement opportunities, plan events, field requests from community members and partner organizations, and lead cross-departmental initiatives.
You Will:
In collaboration with the Director of Board and Community Relations, establish an iterative practice of community engagement
Steward relationships with community members, officials, and organizations
Work with departments across the organization on community-related projects
Conduct evaluations of partnerships and report on findings in writing, verbally, and through presentation
You Have:
3+ years’ experience leading member and/or talent relations at a non-profit organization or related organization
5+ years’ experience working collaboratively with a team and motivating staff
A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Project management and planning skills
Experience budgeting and tracking spending
The ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
