The Constituent Services Representative monitors and updates the Constituent Services Director (or Lead Constituent Services Representative in her absence) on constituent, district and local issues. Primarily, this position responds to constituent requests, acts as a liaison to federal, state, district, and local agencies, answers correspondence and verbal communications with constituents, and supports local community events.
Candidates must possess exceptional written and verbal communications skills. Ability to multitask, work independently and quickly change priorities is needed. Skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred candidates will have a background in customer service, government affairs, and/or social work. Deep knowledge and proficiency of the 9th Senate District Senator John Kane - PA State Senate. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
General Duties could include some or all of the following:
Handles casework assignments, ensuring constituents’ issues are handled in a thoughtful, responsive manner
Acts as the representative for the Senator including answering correspondence, meeting with constituents, and verbal communications with constituents
Acts as a liaison to local, state and federal officials and other persons or groups to form effective relationships for the Senator
Logs in all interactions in iConstituent, an internal constituent engagement platform
Assist Constituent Services Director with organizing community events and managing the cyclical paid internship program
Works well under pressure and handles stress
Access to responsive transportation with own car preferred
