Summary/Objective
The Corporate Giving Specialist leads the coordination and management of fundraising events and corporate partnerships while overseeing the integrity and administration of the Blackbaud donor database. This role is a vital operational and outward-facing position that supports the development team’s goals by ensuring successful event execution, fostering strong corporate relationships, and maintaining accurate donor data.
Essential Functions
- Act as the primary administrator for the Blackbaud donor database system, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.
- Manage data entry, regular updates, list pulls, and data clean-up to maintain database health and support development activities.
- Prepare and deliver reports including mailing lists, event attendance, gift tracking, and other analytics for fundraising and engagement purposes.
- Collaborate closely with finance to reconcile gifts and ensure timely acknowledgments.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and seamless execution of all fundraising and donor engagement events, managing logistics, vendors, venues, and volunteers.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with corporate sponsors and business partners to optimize fundraising success and event impact.
- Serve as the main point of contact for event-related communication both internally and externally.
- Partner with the communications team to promote events and recognize sponsors and supporters effectively.
- Monitor and report on sponsorship fulfillment and post-event outcomes.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of corporate partners for sponsorships, in-kind contributions, and giving initiatives.
- Maintain consistent and meaningful communication with business supporters to encourage long-term partnerships.
- Support development of sponsorship proposals, marketing materials, and post-event impact reports.

- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracy in event planning, sponsor tracking, and donor data management.
- Proficient in data systems, with a sharp focus on database integrity, reporting, and adherence to best practices (Blackbaud or similar CRM experience).
- Skilled communicator who can confidently engage with corporate sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and internal teams in a variety of settings.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the organization.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptops, photocopiers, and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift, open filing cabinets and bend, stand or stoop as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and work hours are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position requires travel within the organization’s geographic region, working with prospective and current donors, coordinating fundraising events, and supporting fundraising volunteers in various communities.
Required Education, Experience, or Eligibility Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with two or more years of experience or five years of experience in fundraising and development or any similar combination of education and experience.
- Solid ability in word processing and spreadsheet software required.
- Must be comfortable in front of people and highly interactive with others.
- Must be able to present in a consistently professional manner.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master's degree in a relative field.
- Five or more years of experience related to the duties listed or in a closely related field.
- Previous work in events and fundraising is highly preferred. Relevant experience may include annual campaigns, direct mail, mid-level donor programs, sustainer donor programs, and major gift programs.
- Database management experience.
- Blackbaud's Raisers Edge software experience.
- CFRE, Grant, or other fundraising related certifications.
