Role Description The Development Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Newark, NJ. This position supports fundraising and development efforts through managing donor records, preparing correspondence and acknowledgments, and assisting with grant applications and reports. The Development Coordinator helps plan and coordinate special events, campaigns, and outreach activities, ensuring timelines, budgets, and logistics are well organized. Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating with donors and partners, providing customer service to stakeholders, and collaborating with program and finance staff to gather data and success stories. The role also involves drafting written materials such as appeal letters, impact reports, and marketing content to advance BGCN’s mission and visibility.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Writing skills for donor outreach, documentation, and storytelling.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to engage donors, partners, and community members in a professional and responsive manner.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills to coordinate events, campaigns, and development initiatives effectively.
- Candidates should possess Fundraising skills, including experience with donor stewardship, campaigns, or grant support.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as Nonprofit Management, Communications, or Marketing), or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with office software, donor databases or CRM systems, and basic data tracking and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, maintain confidentiality, and manage multiple priorities.
- Interest in youth development, community-based work, and the mission of Boys & Girls Club of Newark.
