Position Description:
Established Capitol Hill consulting firm specializing in political fundraising, event management and campaigns is seeking an experienced and energetic candidate to support a dynamic team with a growing woman-owned business including fundraising and client & project management. Commensurate with experience, skills and interest there are many opportunities to grow as a member of an exciting and creative team. Success in this role requires an ability to manage multiple tasks, attention to detail, sound judgment, a positive attitude, and a willingness to be a proactive problem-solver.
Scope:
• Client and fundraising support responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Draft invitations & memos, track RSVPs & pledges, prepare and print name tags and other materials, and interface with donors at events.
o Coordinate with MAA team on event set-up, catering & other logistics.
o Manage and audit donor databases with a high level of precision while conducting comprehensive donor research to inform fundraising strategy.
o Assist with call time preparation, staffing and donor follow up.
• General office support responsibilities include but are not limited to:
o Answer incoming calls, greet visitors, and provide information.
o Help develop and maintain efficient operational procedures and project management tools to enhance organizational effectiveness.
o Communication with client staff for call time scheduling and management of office space.
o Collaborate with team members to ensure clear communication and coordination of tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• 1-2 office-based internships; Ideal candidates have 6-12 months of fundraising experience, campaign experience or congressional office experience.
• Eager to learn and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong, professional human relations skills with the capacity to interact and manage both internal and external stakeholders with respect for confidentiality and accountability.
• Superior analytical, oral, and written communication skills to initiate, compose and appropriately format correspondence and client reports & briefings.
• Excellent project management skills, keen attention to detail and robust skills in prioritizing, organizing, delegating and planning work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment while maintaining composure and humor.
• Experience with research, planning and follow up for project and event management.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

The salary range for the Development Coordinator position (salaried, exempt) is $45,000 - $50,000 USD.
