PATHFORWARD 

THE ORGANIZATION:

PathForward was founded in 1992 as A-SPAN to serve meals to unsheltered individuals. Today, we are an innovative, industry-leading organization with a full continuum of services to meet the needs of adults experiencing homelessness. Our mission is to transform lives by delivering housing solutions and pathways to stability for people experiencing homelessness. Programs include street outreach, Day and Drop-In services, year-round shelter, multiple housing programs, Homelessness Prevention, and innovative medical services. Wrapping around all of these programs is case management, nursing services and mental healthcare. OVERALL OBJECTIVE:

PathForward seeks a highly effective and detail-oriented professional to join our dynamic and high-performing development team as our Development Coordinator. The coordinator provides critical administrative support in coordination and delivery of development activities and campaigns by managing the administrative functions associated with all fundraising efforts leading to the identification, cultivation and stewardship of our institutional and individual donors, allowing the Development Team to grow our donor base and make better data-driven solicitation strategies.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Development Coordinator’s responsibilities include maintaining our DonorPerfect database to ensure positive stewardship of all donors, cultivating gifts from new and existing institutional and individual donors through prospect research, writing and submitting grant applications and reports, and providing donor support when needed. This position will be an integral part of philanthropy for PathForward’s team. 

KEY FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversees and manages the DonorPerfect database, ensuring accurate and thoughtful analysis of donor records and intel, and creates dashboards for the development team to track overall progress. 
  • Update and maintain the grants and contracts calendar and research new funding opportunities.
  • Supports grant writing including narratives, compilations, submissions and reporting.
  • Prepares daily and monthly donation reports for the Development team.
  • Oversees and manages the donor acknowledgement process through the creation of timely acknowledgement for financial and in-kind donations, as well as the creation of year-end tax letters. 
  • Manages donor inquiries and refers donors to appropriate staff members when needed.
  • Work with the department to align efforts and set goals; collaborate with finance and development to ensure pledges are met, funds are received and reconciled. 
  • Provides administrative support as needed for events including pulling registration reports, creating registration lists and generating nametags.
  • Other duties as assigned.
