The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development/Fundraising Intern to support our fundraising and development operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit development, donor engagement, and fundraising activities while contributing directly to the organization’s mission and growth.
Internship Purpose
The Development/Fundraising Intern will provide essential administrative and project-based support to strengthen fundraising and development capacity. This role is designed to offer practical exposure to nonprofit development work, including donor relations, database management, campaign support, and internal coordination.
What You’ll Do
- The intern will support development and fundraising operations through routine administrative and project‑based tasks, which may include:
- Providing general administrative support to the Development team, including filing, document preparation, and task tracking.
- Assisting with donor database maintenance, including data entry, contact updates, and gift tracking under supervision.
- Supporting fundraising activities such as event preparation, mailings, and campaign logistics.
- Conducting basic prospect or grant research using provided templates and guidance.
- Preparing donor acknowledgment materials, thank‑you letters, and internal tracking lists.
- Assisting with the organization and maintenance of development records, files, and shared documents.
- Attending select development‑related meetings for training and exposure, as appropriate.
