Role Description The Development Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for growing and sustaining financial support for Christianity Explored North America. This role oversees fundraising strategies, including donor cultivation, stewardship, and retention activities, and helps build a strong base of individual, church, and institutional partners. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing donor communications, preparing proposals and impact reports, organizing fundraising campaigns and events (virtual or in-person as needed), and maintaining accurate records in donor databases. The Development Manager collaborates with leadership and program teams to align funding priorities with organizational goals, supports grant applications, and monitors progress against fundraising targets. This role also involves representing the organization to supporters, sharing its mission and impact in a clear and respectful manner.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising and development, including donor cultivation, stewardship, and campaign management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear proposals, impact reports, and donor-facing materials.
- Proficiency with CRM or donor management systems, and solid organizational skills for tracking contacts, pledges, and gifts.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience collaborating across teams and building relationships with diverse stakeholders, including churches and ministries.
- Understanding of, and alignment with, the mission of helping people engage with Jesus through Scripture.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Nonprofit Management, Communications, Business, or Theology), or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in a faith-based or nonprofit context is beneficial, as is familiarity with North American church and ministry networks.
