The Position: Development Associate is needed immediately to work with multiple clients on securing meetings with donors, event planning, call time, donor maintenance, prospecting and assisting the Associate Partner for non-profits. Successful applicants will be the lead on multiple non-profits and work on select political clients. The applicant will need to be able to hit the ground running. This is not an entry level position. This is an extremely fast paced environment.
Successful applicant must be comfortable and confident speaking to donors, clients, and high-profile elected officials, candidates and their staff, as well as non-profit executives and leadership, both on the phone and in person. Candidates must be comfortable and competent traveling with non-profit and elected officials across the country as needed.
Non-profit organizations comprise a sizable amount of our clientele in our NYC office. Candidates must be comfortable with fundraising for and working with non-profit organizations and leadership. This includes event production of major galas and events as well as fundraising around these projects, in addition to overall fundraising campaigns.
Individual must be a self-starter who is able to multitask, juggle competing client needs, and prioritize tasks. Prior fundraising experience (2-4 years) is a must. Experience with candidate call time and fundraising on a campaign for at least one cycle is strongly preferred.
Applicants must be proficient in NGP and Microsoft Office Suite. Salary is commensurate with experience; position includes full benefits and vacation time, as well as the opportunity for rapid advancement.
This is a fun office environment but we take our work seriously. Applicants should have a good sense of humor, thick skin, and a stellar work ethic.
The starting salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000.
