Role Description
This is a project role based in Los Angeles, CA, for a Development Officer at Uncommon Voices Collective. The Development Officer will focus on establishing and nurturing key donor relationships, writing compelling grant proposals, and implementing fundraising strategies to support the organization’s mission. Tasks include collaborating with internal teams on project proposals, conducting market research to identify potential funding opportunities, managing donor prospects, and organizing donor events to strengthen engagement and support.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in donor relations, fundraising, and grant proposal writing particularly in the AAPI community
- Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in research, donor tracking, and using donor management software
- Event planning and coordination skills
- Commitment to UVC’s mission and values, with an understanding of the faith-based storytelling landscape
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and independently manage projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience in the arts, media, or nonprofit sector is a plus
