Children's Health Foundation (CHF) improves the health and well-being of Oklahoma children by investing in pediatric research, medical education, and programs that help children and families access the care and support they need. For more than 40 years, CHF has partnered with physicians, researchers, hospitals, and community organizations to address Oklahoma's most pressing pediatric health needs, including autism, child abuse and neglect, cancer, diabetes, cardiac care, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, and many more diagnoses and conditions.
Role Description
The Development Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Oklahoma City, OK, responsible for advancing philanthropic support for Children’s Health Foundation. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing annual giving initiatives, cultivating and stewarding donors, and coordinating fundraising campaigns. The role also involves preparing proposals and reports, conducting prospect research, and maintaining accurate donor records in the database. The Development Officer collaborates with colleagues, volunteers, and community partners to enhance outreach efforts, increase donor engagement, and align fundraising activities with the Foundation’s mission and strategic priorities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising and philanthropy, with the ability to build and sustain donor relationships.
- Knowledge of annual giving programs and campaign development, including donor segmentation and stewardship strategies.
- Strong communication skills, including clear writing, effective presentation abilities, and confident interpersonal engagement.
- Proficiency in research and prospect identification to support donor cultivation and campaign planning.
- Experience with donor management or CRM systems, and solid organizational skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, board members, and staff, and to represent the Foundation professionally in the community.
- Commitment to the mission of improving children’s health and familiarity with healthcare or nonprofit environments is beneficial.
