Job Description
The U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC) is seeking a Digital Communications Manager to develop and deploy a full suite of digital storytelling across platforms to grow support for strategic American engagement in the world.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in social media strategy, video production, and graphic design to articulate and amplify USGLC messaging – and a sharp instinct for what earns attention and stops the scroll. They will turn timely information and complex ideas into engaging, platform-specific content and digital campaigns, including high-quality videos and reels, that drive coalition engagement and influence key policymakers on Capitol Hill and in the Administration.
Through more than 30 years of education and advocacy, USGLC’s nationwide coalition of bipartisan political, military, business, and nonprofit leaders have come together to highlight the strategic imperative of U.S. global leadership to build a safer world and a stronger America (watch 30 years in 3 minutes here). At this consequential moment for America’s future, we’re looking for a creative partner to help us shape what comes next.
At USGLC, we are committed to fostering a culture of inclusiveness and belonging among staff, volunteers and partners.
Primary responsibilities will include:
§ Social media and content creation – Develop and implement targeted strategies and content across social media platforms including X, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram that advance USGLC’s mission, increase reach and drive engagement. Monitor and engage with key stakeholders, validators, and coalition members across platforms, analyze performance metrics to optimize content and impact, and develop creative new approaches through influencer engagement or other new media opportunities to grow our impact.
§ Graphic design and branding – Design and produce branded content, in partnership with internal teams and external vendors, that tells USGLC’s story, including digital invitations, reports, marketing materials, and other communications that deliver a thoughtful and consistent brand experience across all channels.
§ Video production and editing – Produce polished, high-quality video content, including short-form videos and reels. Identify compelling moments in longer footage and create clips suited to social platforms; edit video and audio; and add captions, graphics and other elements that make content clear, accessible and engaging.
§ Visual support and multimedia projects – Manage photo and videography coverage of USGLC events, in concert with external vendors and internal team, by designing, capturing, editing, and archiving photos and videos. Support livestreams and event AV, including planning production needs, coordinating with vendors, and helping ensure reliable audio, video and livestream execution.
§ Project Management and Planning – Create and maintain a digital content calendar to support short- and long-term planning that is integrated with broader communications and organizational priorities.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of three years of experience in social media content creation and strategy, graphic design, video production, digital storytelling, and broader digital communications.

· Proficiency with social media analytics tools to track performance and inform content strategy.
· Strong written and visual communication skills, with the ability to translate complex foreign policy issues into clear, accessible content and cohesive design.
· Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines while maintaining close attention to detail.
· Experience producing high-quality video and short-form content; proficiency with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Cap Cut.
· Expertise with design and content tools like Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
· Collaborative, organized, and adaptable team player quick to share responsibility and credit alike.
· Ability to plan ahead, manage multiple projects and coordinate effectively with colleagues and external vendors.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
· Tailored paid social media targeting and amplification campaigns.
· Knowledge of platform algorithms, best practices, and emerging trends.
