Digital Director Job Description

Josh Gottheimer’s gubernatorial campaign seeks a talented Digital Director with strong strategic instincts and photography and videography experience. This position is based in northern New Jersey.

Responsibilities:

• Drive storytelling efforts and digital strategy by creating unique, accessible, and appealing visuals like graphics, photos, videos, or other content.
• Shoot and edit high-quality photos and videos.
• Work with stakeholders and surrogates to form digital coalitions and expand the campaign’s reach.
• Develop compelling and engaging social media content for multiple digital platforms, with an eye for consistency in tone, messaging, and branding.
• Identify and take advantage of emerging trends and the changing news cycle to communicate across digital platforms.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years or one cycle on a campaign in a digital or content-focused role.
• Experience creating compelling and engaging social media content for multiple platforms, including an ability to shoot and edit high-quality photos and videos.
• Experience in video production, editing, photography, and graphic design.
• A talent for writing and developing consistent messages.
• Proven track record of successfully managing digital media campaigns and working well with stakeholders and external partners.
• Creative thinker who can easily manage multiple projects from beginning to end.
• Skilled multitasker with a willingness to quickly adjust to changing priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to travel throughout the state as needed.
