[2026] Digital Director – Washington, D.C.
A progressive Democrat and senior member of the House Judiciary Committee seeks a Digital Director for the Washington, D.C. office. This is a fast-paced role responsible for leading and executing the Member’s digital communications strategy across platforms.
The Digital Director will work closely with the Communications Director to elevate and expand the Member’s voice online, drive engagement and reach important constituencies, and expand the reach and impact of the office’s communications operation.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the Member’s digital communications strategy across all platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, Bluesky, etc.)
- Drafting, editing, and publishing high-impact content and rapid response messaging tied to news cycles and legislative activity
- Producing compelling graphics, short-form video, and multimedia content
- Clipping and packaging TV appearances, hearings, and floor speeches for digital distribution
- Managing and updating the Member’s official website
- Developing and executing targeted e-newsletters and franked communications
- Building and managing targeted audience lists for digital and mass outreach campaigns
- Planning and executing SMS/text messaging campaigns and surveys
- Coordinating digital advertising strategy and placements (social and web)
- Supporting direct mail programs in coordination with vendors
- Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will be: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and fluent in digital platforms and content production. The candidate should be a strong writer with sharp political instincts and the ability to operate quickly in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across communications and legislative teams is essential. Prior congressional, campaign, or political communications experience, ties to Tennessee’s 9th Congressional District, and experience with graphic design, photography, or video production are preferred.
Salary: Commensurate with experience; includes health insurance, student loan repayment, and competitive benefits.
