Campaign: Senator Ed Markey (D-MA), 2026 Re-Election Campaign Location: Boston, MA (with frequent travel throughout Massachusetts)

As he seeks re-election in 2026, the campaign is building a dynamic, grassroots-driven operation to meet the moment—and we’re looking for a talented digital fellow to help tell that story. 

Digital Fellow - Photo and Video, Role Overview: 

Reporting to the Digital and Creative Director and also working under the direction of the Communications & Digital Media Assistant, the Digital Fellow will travel to events to capture photo and video content, help to manage content archives, and work alongside the digital team to produce video content, assisting at every stage of the process from conception to captioning. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about being behind a camera, creative, and excited to learn in a fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with photo and video coverage of campaign events such as meet and greets, rallies, press conferences, and tours.
  • Edit and archive photo and video content from campaign events.
  • Conduct the recording of direct to camera videos for social media as well as the planning and execution of long-form videos.
  • Serve as a primary editor for rapid response content such as tv news appearances and vlogs.
  • Collaborate with the digital team to develop new and exciting content ideas.

Qualifications: 

  • Preferred past experience in political campaigns, communications, digital media, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with operating photo and video cameras. Equipment will be provided.
  • General knowledge of editing software. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite— specifically Adobe Premiere, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Photoshop—preferred. 
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Based in Massachusetts or willing to relocate.

Digital Fellow - Social Media, Role Overview:

This role will also help with the management of the social content calendar and assist with photo and video coverage of campaign events. A great fit for someone who lives online and is passionate about all things social content.

  • Assist with social media content creation including social copy drafting, graphics creation, and video editing.
  • Help to manage the campaign social content calendar.
  • Produce rapid response content involving news of the day, campaign events, and online trends.
  • Assist with photo and video coverage of campaign events such as meet and greets, rallies, press conferences, and tours.
  • Collaborate with the digital team to develop new and exciting content ideas.

The stipend for these positiosn is $17/hr for a maximum of 20hrs a week.
