The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute (LDBPI) is a center of healing, teaching and learning for families and communities impacted by murder, trauma, grief and loss.  Our commitment is to transform society’s response to homicide so all families are treated with dignity and compassion.  Our programs and services are grounded in the Center for Disease Control’s social-ecological framework that interventions are needed at multiple levels in order to interrupt cycles of violence.

The LDBPI is recognized across the state and country for the best practices in the field of homicide response. With over 25 years of experience, the LDBPI continues to innovate and grow. 


Position Summary: 

The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute is looking for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our team! In this new role, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Communications and Marketing Manager in promoting our peacemaking and transformative work through creative storytelling efforts. 


Reports to: Communications and Marketing Manager

Responsibilities:


  • Teamwork: Work closely and collaboratively with the marketing, program and development teams to develop theme-focused, social-first content that is reflective of the organization’s work and goals.
  • Digital channel ownership: responsible for social media, email marketing, and other digital development and deployment processes end-to-end, including creative briefings, strategy, scheduling, branding and design, monitoring, creative development, feedback gathering, content deployment, list and follower management, reporting and analysis.
  • Design: Develop graphics, content and marketing materials that are reflective of the organization’s brand identity.
  • Photography: Provide support in capturing engaging images that reflect the organization’s programs and goals.
  • Website Ownership: Work with Website Designer to keep the website updated and on brand.
  • Additional duties: Provide assistance with event planning and production and other marketing campaign support and insight as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and other internal and organization meetings as required.
  • Perform additional essential and non essential tasks as needed.  


Qualifications:

  • Strong Interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Knack for storytelling
  • A Skill Set in Adobe Suite and Canva 
  • Knowledge of Social Media and Email Analytics 
  • Experience in Website Management
  • Experience using email platforms such as Constant Contact 
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible 
  • Listens well and without judgment
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Creative
  • Team player
  • Uses discretion and sound judgment

Time Commitment and Salary:

This is an exempt level, full-time position, 40 hours per week. Starting salary is $50,000 annually.
