Campaign Job Posting: Digital Strategy Intern
The Josh Shapiro for Pennsylvania Campaign Committee is looking to hire part-time Digital Strategy Interns for the spring semester. The position can either be remote or in-person in our Harrisburg, Pennsylvania office. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in political communications and digital strategy in a fast-paced campaign environment.
This position will report to the Deputy Digital Director.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with social media platforms like X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Substack, or Snapchat.
- A comfortable understanding of vertical video and an eagerness to stay on top of online trends.
- Experience working with social media tools like Premiere, CapCut, Canva, Illustrator, or similar is preferred.
- Experience tracking online conversation and analyzing engagement metrics.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills.
- An ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Pennsylvania ties are highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting social media content for the @JoshShapiroPA and @TeamShapiroPA accounts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Substack, Snapchat, and more.
- Working with the Digital Content Team and craft, hone, and execute the vertical video strategy.
- Monitoring news coverage, tracking online conversation, and identifying trends across social media platforms.
- Analyzing digital metrics and assisting with compiling reports on engagement.
- Assisting with other digital team or campaign-related activities as needed.
The hourly compensation for this position is $15/hour for a maximum of 20 hours per week.
