POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Development will lead fundraising, donor engagement, foundation relations, and corporate sponsorship strategy for the organization. This role requires a highly relational and externally facing leader who is comfortable cultivating partnerships, representing the organization at high-level meetings and events, and helping drive organizational growth through strategic fundraising and community engagement.This role works closely with executive leadership and is supported by communications, social media, event production, and administrative teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cultivate and steward foundation, corporate, and donor relationships
- Identify and secure new funding and sponsorship opportunities
- Oversee grant strategy, submissions, reporting, and compliance timelines
- Develop donor materials, sponsorship proposals, and fundraising presentations
- Support fundraising campaigns and donor engagement initiatives
- Represent the organization at meetings, events, and community engagements
- Track fundraising activity, donor engagement, and development metrics
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5–7 years of nonprofit development or fundraising experience
- Proven track record securing grants, sponsorships, and donor support
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with strong project management abilities
- Experience managing foundation and corporate partnerships preferred
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience supporting or helping lead fundraising efforts totaling $2–4 million annually in prior roles
- Corporate sponsorship and event fundraising experience
- Experience working with executive leadership and boards
- Background in disability, workforce development, healthcare, education, or social impact sectors preferred
COMPENSATION
Competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience.($100K–$120K)
