Director of Development
Location: Hybrid – Monterey Park, CA | Salary: $115K–$130K | Schedule: Full-time, some evenings/weekends
Reports to: CEO

The Role
We’re seeking a dynamic, strategic, and relationship-driven Director of Development to lead all fundraising and development efforts. You’ll design and execute multi-year strategies to grow revenue from individuals, foundations, corporations, and events. You’ll oversee donor relations, marketing, grants, and special events while managing a talented development and marketing team. As a senior leader, you’ll work closely with the CEO and Board to secure strong, diversified funding for CASA/LA’s mission.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement annual/multi-year fundraising strategies
- Cultivate and steward major donors, foundations, and corporate partners
- Lead individual giving, institutional fundraising, and planned giving efforts
- Oversee donor stewardship, events (including our annual gala), and marketing campaigns
- Manage and mentor the development/marketing team
- Collaborate with Board and CEO on fundraising strategy and engagement
- Ensure grant compliance, reporting, and database integrity
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree or CFRE preferred)
- 7+ years nonprofit development experience with proven fundraising success
- 3+ years supervising high-performing teams
- Strong track record in major gifts, special events, and grants
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with donor databases (DonorPerfect preferred) and project management tools
- A passion for CASA/LA’s mission and values
