Job Overview
Marketing & Mobilization (M&M) is a dynamic team tasked with building the International Rescue Committee’s (IRC) global profile and brand, engaging our global workforce, increasing private revenue from deeper donor engagement and partnerships, and influencing our target audiences.
Global Internal Communications, helps the IRC achieve its strategy and goals by informing, inspiring and involving over 20,000 employees in 40 countries in multiple languages. The team crafts compelling content aligned to our strategic priorities and elevates our employee voices while continually striving to create a more engaged and inclusive work environment.
The IRC global internal communications team is seeking a strategic, creative, and passionate storyteller to help us tell compelling stories about the awe-inspiring work of our 14,000 employees across the U.S. and 40 countries worldwide. The role will own the content, media and knowledge management of RescueNet, our intranet platform which connects, inspires and informs our staff globally.
The Director, Global Internal Communications is a leader responsible for setting the strategic vision for how IRC engages and communicates with its global staff. This role partners closely with the President’s Office, Strategy & Planning Unit and People & Culture, to ensure every IRC employee, wherever they sit, feels informed, inspired, and part of one global organization

Working Environment: Hybrid working environment, with an expectation of at least two days per week in the New York HQ office. May require occasional work outside regular hours to support time-sensitive communications or global audiences.
Compensation: (Pay Range: $135,000 - $150,000) Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
