Director of Ministry to Families and Children

Plymouth Church, a thriving 400-member church in Brooklyn, New York, is seeking a Director of Ministry to Families and Children. Our congregation includes families, particularly those with young children, and a large number of professionals. While Plymouth is a member of the NACCC, our members are from diverse religious backgrounds, united by our Christ-centered ministry. We seek an energetic minister who will be involved in the development, implementation, and coordination of programs and ministries to welcome, support, and disciple the families and children of Plymouth Church and our community.

Primary responsibilities of this role include:

1. Develop a comprehensive, integrated strategy for the Christian education and development of children and their families.
2. Design, implement, and coordinate programs for children.
3. Design, implement, and coordinate programs for parents.
4. Design, implement, and coordinate programs for Vacation Bible camp.
5. Recruit, schedule, and develop volunteers and staff for children’s programs.
6. Create outreach events for families and children.
7. Ensure compliance with the church’s safety policies.
8. Review policies and procedures for the children, child care workers, and volunteers for improvements.
9. Maintain regular communication with the Senior Minister to share needs, activities, and hopes.
10. Perform other activities as assigned by the Senior Minister.
