The company has successfully executed hundreds of megawatts of community solar projects and continues to invest heavily in clean energy across multiple states—driving environmental impact, economic development, and equitable access to renewable power.

About the Role:

We’re seeking a Director, Policy to lead strategic initiatives that shape renewable energy policy at the federal, state, and local levels. This person will develop and execute policy strategies that enable project development, advocate for supportive legislation and regulation, and represent the company’s interests with policymakers, agencies, and industry groups. The ideal candidate combines deep policy expertise with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement policy strategies that advance renewable energy initiatives and company objectives.
• Engage with legislators, regulators, and industry stakeholders to influence rulemaking and policy design.
• Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, lobbyists, industry associations, and advocacy organizations.
• Analyze regulatory developments and communicate potential impacts and opportunities to internal teams.
• Manage consultants and partners to ensure effective market coverage and high-quality intelligence.
• Prepare concise, well-reasoned reports and presentations for executive leadership.

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience in renewable energy policy, ideally within solar, storage, or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of interconnection, permitting, and market structures for distributed energy.
• Proven success advancing policy or regulatory outcomes in complex stakeholder environments.
• Excellent written, verbal, and analytical communication skills.
• Strong organizational and relationship management abilities.

Preferred:

• Experience in community solar, distributed generation, or grid-edge technologies.
• Established network within legislative, regulatory, or industry groups relevant to clean energy.
