Position Overview:
The Director of Political Operations will play a crucial role in supporting the political and fundraising teams for a member of House Republican Leadership. This individual will oversee logistical functions to ensure seamless execution of key initiatives related to donor relations, fundraising events, political travel, and calendar management. Additionally, this person will bring expertise in scheduling, coordination, and the daily operations that ensure effective communication and scheduling for a House Republican Leadership Member of Congress. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, work closely with internal teams, consultants, and external stakeholders, and assist in various operational activities to meet both political and fundraising goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director of Operations will participate in and oversee the following duties to advance the political and fundraising goals:
Political Travel Planning & Logistics:
- Coordinate logistics for all political-related travel and events, ensuring smooth execution of each initiative.
- Book hotels and process credit card authorizations for political travel needs.
- Provide daily updates to Senior Advisor and maintain travel documents.
- Ensure all political travel is efficiently organized, including ground transportation, security details, and meeting coordination.
- Serve as the main point of contact for meeting logistics, ensuring all materials, briefings, and meeting preparation are completed ahead of time.
Event Assistance & Execution:
- Assist with the planning and execution of retreats, meetings, regional events, and fundraising events.
- Work with the Finance Team and consultants to manage logistics for event dates, times, venues, and other details.
Financial Assistance:
- Support the Finance Team with event budgets, invoicing, and consultant commissions.
- Assist with other finance-related duties as needed and directed by the finance team.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Scheduler Experience: Proven experience working as a scheduler for a Member of Congress or in a similar high-pressure political role. Familiarity with managing complex calendars, high-level political meetings, and fundraising events.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while managing detailed logistical elements.
- Event Planning & Coordination: Experience with event planning, including securing venues, managing vendors, and coordinating logistics.
- Political Travel Coordination: Proven ability to organize and manage complex travel arrangements for high-level political figures.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, external consultants, and key stakeholders, ensuring smooth operations at all levels.
- Confidentiality & Discretion: Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on details to ensure that all logistical aspects of scheduling, meetings, and events are executed flawlessly.
- Team Player: Must be adaptable and willing to take on various tasks to ensure the success of the team.

Compensation:
Salary for this position will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
