Job Description
The Office of Congressman Sean Casten (IL-06) is accepting Fall 2026 internship applications for our Lombard, Illinois office. This paid internship is open to qualified undergraduate or graduate students, or recent college graduates.
The Fall district office interns will assist with the day-to-day workings and operations of the office, including, but not limited to:
- Answering constituent phone calls
- Attending virtual webinars held by different government agencies
- Assisting staff on various district-based projects and events
- Drafting and responding to constituent correspondence
Interns will learn about constituent relations and will assist with frontline operations, network with staff, and get hands-on experience with casework and outreach. Interns will also conduct research for our outreach and casework teams, including through list building, community news tracking, local issue background research, and event brainstorming.
The Lombard Office operates Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Central Time. The internship program will begin in September and end in December.
