Job Description

The Campaign Readiness Project is a train-to-hire bootcamp pipeline at the DNC with the goal of supporting states in their recruitment, training, and hiring of diverse, talented, and local staff for specific roles and skill sets on coordinated campaigns. Participation in these bootcamps will expand opportunities for consideration for campaign roles in targeted states with the aim of helping elect Democrats up and down the ballot.

Our first bootcamp series will center around Distributed Organizing and people who meet the outlined qualifications are encouraged to apply. The Distributed Organizer Bootcamp will be held virtually August 20-22. Participation in the bootcamps does not guarantee future employment.

Ideal participants for the Distributed Organizer Bootcamp for the Campaign Readiness Project are entry-level or have one cycle of experience as an organizer and are interested in learning the ropes behind what it means to be a part of a statewide distributed organizing program. Over the course of this bootcamp, participants will learn what it means to be responsible for leading teams of volunteers to recruit, organize, confirm, and support thousands of volunteers in call, text, and canvassing efforts.

All participants will get to practice utilizing online tools and distributed tactics to foster a community-based, volunteer-driven organization to support statewide Democratic outreach. Ideally, all participants will take what they learn from the bootcamp and then apply them directly to the coordinated campaign operation in their state for the 2022 cycle. We aim to hire directly from people who successfully complete this bootcamp and demonstrate the necessary skills for distributed organizers in targeted states.
