Donor Services Manager

Overview of the role
The Donor Services Manager will work within a team and with partners to ensure a positive giving experience for all donors to the organization. The manager will provide oversight for all revenue and donor information capture and maintenance relating to the organization’s Development activities. This position directs the effective capture and maintenance of donor information into the organization’s donor database. The donors have a revenue impact in excess of $60 million annually. The Donor Services Manager will develop strategies that enhance responses to donor and prospect queries with a view to improve retention and engagement with the organization. The Manager will supervise and develop team members, analyze roles and functions within the team and establish processes for efficient and effective operational performance in alignment with the organization’s needs. The Manager will oversee the fulfillment of the organization’s Tax Acknowledgments and Corporate Matching Gift program. The position will source, evaluate, and directly manage multiple vendor relationships associated with donor data capture and fulfillment. The ability to establish and maintain excellent and functioning working relationships with vendors and both internal and external partners is essential for success in this position.

What you’ll do
- Provide leadership, supervision, support and guidance to the Donor Services team
- Facilitate accurate, timely, efficient and effective donor information capture and maintenance of donor information into the organization’s Salesforce CRM
- Partner internally, communicate cross-unit operational impact, identify needs, coordinate resources, and implement data capture solutions into Salesforce
- Ensure timely and accurate information reporting for the organization’s financial audits.
- Pro-actively research, evaluate and manage implementation of cost-effective gift processing solutions
- Support the organization’s revenue reconciliation process for the revenue recorded through Salesforce
- Develop contingency plans for high volume gift processing resulting from growth, special promotions and events and cyclic peaks
- Develop and coordinate processes that monitor and ensure the effective and efficient response to donor inquiries via phone, email or mail
- Manage vendor relationships
