The GOPAC Network comprises organizations, including the GOPAC Education Fund, a 501(c)(4) organization, dedicated to educating on the principles of free market capitalism and electing Republican leaders. It is a force in American politics as it supports the election of Republicans at the state level and builds a roster of proven leaders to run for higher office, including U.S. Congress. Further, the GOPAC Network fosters discussions between center-right, state, and federal elected officials, innovators, thought leaders, and policy experts on how to make Americans’ lives easier, safer, and better.
The Events Coordinator is a full-time, in-person position reporting directly to the Director of Network Events and Programming, and is vital to the overall success of the GOPAC Network Events and Programming team.
Position Scope and Responsibilities:
• Assist the events team with the formulation and fulfillment of all GOPAC Network events.
• Work with the events team to monitor timelines and deadlines related to all aspects of events, ensuring the information is communicated to staff, volunteers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in development of programming for events, including speakers, topics, and timing; communicate with speakers regarding their commitment to the event and their needs related to attending the event (i.e., A/V, travel, reimbursement, handouts, bios, video release forms, etc.).
• Maintain database and registration documents to ensure accurate event data.
• Assist in arranging travel and lodging logistics for event attendees; assist with the reimbursement and budgeting process before and after events.
• Assist in event follow‐up with thank‐you letters to speakers, vendors, sponsors, and volunteers as directed by the Director of State Programming.
• Prepare packaging and shipping of materials needed for events and ensure their prompt arrival.
• Work with appropriate staff to evaluate all events.
• Work on-site in the Arlington, VA office or at event venues.
Required Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; extreme professionalism and confidence to liaise with elected leaders, investors, and stakeholders.
• Meticulously detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office with an aptitude to learn new software and systems.
• Motivated to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate as a member of a dynamic team.
• Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and travel, as dictated by the events schedule.
