Opportunity:

This position supports the development, management, and implementation of a
variety of collaborative community and government relationship strategies that
advance the health and well-being of our target service populations. AlohaCare

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Support the
External Affairs team and goals by engaging in key areas including but not
limited to: All Staff Meeting Coordination, Community Investments, Internal
Committees, Internal and External Events, Relationship Building and
Maintenance, Internal and Extern Communications, Legislative Responsibilities.
Collaborate
internally and externally to support the development & implementation
of community and government relations strategies to achieve identified
outcomes and goals
Assist in
building and maintaining long-term, productive organizational
relationships through collaboration and partnership that support strategic
objectives
Aid in performing
research and analysis and provide recommendations regarding public policy,
regulations and private or community initiatives and trends
Monitor and
track county, state and federal legislation
Support media projects
Assist in the effective communication with a
wide range of internal audiences as well as external audiences including,
government agencies, legislators, community leaders and advocates,
members, providers, employees and media for a variety of formal and
informal forums including public hearings, small and large group
presentations, and correspondence
Represent
AlohaCare appropriately in external settings such as including legislative
hearings, conferences, advocacy coalitions, and collaborative projects
Coordinate
projects and activities related to public policy and community investment
goals and objectives including access to care grants, scholarships,
charitable donations and sponsorships
Organize
workflow to support the team in meeting deadlines, timelines, and
commitments to ensure completion of multiple projects involving internal
and external partners.
Manage vendors
to ensure the timely delivery of quality goods and services within budget
targets, including the negotiation of contractual terms.
Support
department budgetary and financial processes in compliance with company
policies and procedures
Comply with
all applicable State and Federal rules, regulations, policies, and
procedures relating to marketing, communication and advertising materials
and activities.
Responsible to
maintain AlohaCare’s confidential information in accordance with AlohaCare
policies, and state and federal laws, rules and regulations regarding
confidentiality. Employees have access to AlohaCare data based on
the data classification assigned to this job title.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
combination of education and experience
At least 2
years of county, state and/or federal public policy and/or community
relations experience
Prior
non-profit experience
Prior
experience working the with the health industry, public policy and/or
community partnerships
Prior
experience tracking large numbers of legislation inclusive of a variety of
topics and subject matter
Prior administrative
support experience
Prior
experience external representation of an in public and other forums
Collaborative, positive, energetic,
self-motivated, leader
Willingness to

Ability to
