Position Summary
America's Future is seeking a Chief Talent Officer to build, manage, and optimize AF's talent funnels across recruitment, development, engagement, and placement. This is a senior, strategic, and execution-focused role responsible for designing and operationalizing AF's talent infrastructure.
The Chief Talent Officer will own the full talent lifecycle within America's Future, ensuring clear, structured pathways from initial engagement through fellowship participation, community involvement, and ultimately professional placement. This role will lead the development of systems and processes that increase retention, reduce drop-off, and strengthen transitions between AF programs, while building a high-functioning internal talent engine.
The Chief Talent Officer will also engage with partner organizations to align talent with opportunities and support coordination across the liberty movement.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Strategy & Pipeline Development
- Design and implement comprehensive, end-to-end talent pipelines spanning recruitment, development, engagement, and placement
- Map and refine talent pathways across the liberty movement, identifying key entry points, drop-off points, and opportunities for growth
- Build systems that increase retention, engagement, and successful placement of participants
- Create clear, structured pathways for individuals navigating careers within the movement
- Systems & Data Infrastructure
- Lead the buildout and ongoing management of AF's Salesforce-based talent tracking system
- Establish data standards, lifecycle stages, and reporting frameworks to track engagement, outcomes, and placements
- Translate data insights into actionable improvements across programming and partnerships
- Alumni, Membership, & Community Engagement
- Lead the development and launch of America's Future's membership program
- Build systems and engagement strategies that strengthen long-term relationships with AF members, alumni, fellows, and broader community participants
- Develop pathways for continued involvement beyond programs and events, increasing retention and sustained engagement over time
- Create segmented engagement strategies tailored to different audiences across AF's ecosystem, including fellows, alumni, and event participants
- Identify opportunities to connect members and alumni with relevant opportunities
- Work closely with AF leadership to cultivate a strong sense of belonging, identity, and long-term participation within the America's Future network
- Partnership Development & Movement Coordination
- Build and manage relationships with aligned organizations across the liberty movement
- Establish trusted referral channels and pipelines with partner organizations
- Convene partners through regular check-ins, roundtables, and strategic collaboration
- Identify talent needs across the movement and align candidates to opportunities
- Reporting & Evaluation
- Track and report on key metrics, including engagement, retention, and pipeline performance
- Build dashboards and reporting systems to communicate outcomes to leadership, partners, and funders
- Continuously evaluate and refine strategy based on performance and feedback
Qualifications
- 7–10 years of professional experience in talent development, recruiting, leadership development, or workforce pipeline building
- Prior experience working within the liberty movement (required)
- Demonstrated experience building or managing talent pipelines, fellowship programs, or placement systems
- Strong systems thinker with experience building processes, workflows, and scalable infrastructure
- Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce strongly preferred) and data-driven decision-making
- Proven ability to build and maintain high-trust relationships across organizations
- Strong project management and operational execution skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build from the ground up

Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time role with a competitive benefits package and flexible employment structure based on candidate and organizational needs. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and the position will remain open until filled.
Salary Range: $100,000 – $110,000
