About this role:
Reporting to head of External Relations, this position will drive engagement with left-of-center advocacy groups, Democratic elected-officials associations, and nonpartisan think tanks at the federal, state, and local levels. Serving as the relationship manager, this individual will build trusting, sustained partnerships that support Wells Fargo's reputation, brand and policy priorities. - Develop strategic partnerships with left-of-center advocacy groups, Democratic elected-officials associations, and nonpartisan think tanks
- Advise leadership of public policy developments and potential implications that affect the company
- Partner with stakeholders to set strategy, construct business cases, and execute multi-factored initiatives
- Cultivate relationships that support Wells Fargo's reputation, brand and policy priorities
- Communicate public policy positions and how they positively impact communities across the country
- Serve as a collaborative partner with multiple internal teams to drive best outcomes
- Review end-to-end business processes and identify opportunities that mitigate risk
Required Qualifications, US:
- 4+ years of Government Relations, Public Affairs or Legal experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience working with Democratic elected-officials associations, and nonpartisan think tanks
- Experience developing strategic partnerships at the federal, state, and local levels
- Experience working on a political campaign or campaign-based initiatives
- Experience advising leadership of public policy developments and potential implications
- Experience designing and driving public affairs or grassroots campaigns
- Experience building strong relationships and influencing external stakeholders
- Experience presenting information that persuades, and enhances understanding at all levels
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel and SharePoint
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
