The Office of Senator Chris Coons is hiring Fall 2026 law clerks to assist the Senator’s Judiciary Committee staff. Law clerks will assist the Senator’s counsels in all aspects of the Senator’s Judiciary responsibilities, including researching and writing memos, preparing the Senator for hearings, and participating in meetings with stakeholders and constituents as appropriate. The position is unpaid. Topics of work may include intellectual property, criminal justice, immigration, voting rights, privacy/technology, nominations, and all other topics within the committee’s jurisdiction. Candidates should have completed at least one year of law school, have strong legal research abilities and written and oral communication skills, and be capable of managing themselves and taking initiative. The position will be in-person in the Washington, D.C. office.
