This position is located in the Executive Office of the President (EOP), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Office of Federal Financial Management. The Federal Financial Management Branch Chief leads a professional staff engaged in improving and transforming Federal financial management operations to maximize value for the American people.
Duties
Help
The Federal Financial Management Branch Chief supports cross-agency transformation efforts and improves government accountability and transparency by setting the strategic vision and priorities for Federal Financial Management to deliver a government that is smarter, more effective, and more efficient. The Branch Chief reports to the Deputy Controller for the Office of Federal Financial Management.
As a Federal Financial Management Branch Chief, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Managing a branch of professional staff who develop, plan, and implement governmentwide programs and policies pertaining to Federal Financial Management, including: Federal Spending Transparency, Payment Integrity, Financial Systems, Financial Reporting, Debt Collection, and Internal Controls and Oversight.
Overseeing and providing expert advice and assistance to stakeholders and customers on governmentwide policies, regulations, and requirements related to financial management processes and reporting.
Ensuring that OMB policy and oversight activities related to Federal Financial Management are consistent with the Administration's priorities.
Representing OMB in interagency efforts and showing initiative in delivering completed, high-quality, on-time staff products to senior policy officials in OMB, the EOP, and other agencies.
