The Field Director will design, build, and manage the campaign’s field operation, including door-to-door canvassing, phone/text banking, volunteer coordination, and data tracking. This person will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy to identify, persuade, and turn out supporters across all Cambridge neighborhoods. Paid with compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the campaign’s voter outreach plan, with clear goals and timelines.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and field organizers.
- Plan and execute canvassing, phone banking, and text banking programs.
- Maintain and analyze field data to track voter contact and progress to goals.
- Coordinate with communications and events teams to integrate outreach into broader campaign strategy.
- Ensure field operations are inclusive, welcoming, and accessible to people of all backgrounds.
- Report regularly to the Campaign Manager on metrics, challenges, and needs.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience in political campaigns, community organizing, or volunteer management (preferred but not required).
- Ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of volunteers.
- Comfort using or learning voter contact software and spreadsheets.
- Passion for grassroots campaigning and local politics.
- Alignment with the campaign’s values of equity, inclusion, and integrity.
