Grant Writer
Location: City College of New York
Department: Office of Institutional Advancement, Communications & External Relations (OIACER)
Status: Full-Time | Salary: $82,663–$94,909
The City College of New York seeks a skilled Grant Writer to join OIACER, which supports the College’s mission through fundraising and resource development. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Relations & Foundation Grants, this role focuses on securing significant funding from corporations, foundations, and government sources.
Responsibilities:
- Research and write compelling grant proposals, reports, and correspondence.
- Manage a portfolio of 30–50 institutional relationships and submit up to 100 proposals annually.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure compliance and strategic alignment.
- Develop stewardship programs and impact reports for funders.
- Track fundraising activity in Raiser’s Edge and stay current on philanthropic trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience.
- Proven success in grant writing and fundraising.
- Strong communication, research, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; occasional travel required.
